Years ago i read The History of the Kelly Gang by our famous Australian author Peter Carey and just recently i have been reading Ned Kelly ( a short life) by Ia.n Jones and also Peter Fitzsimons book on Ned Kelly. I decided to do a Series of Ned Kelly paintings as true to the story as i can . I also had a great admiration of Sidney Nolans paintings on Ned . So Ned has also been around in my the back of my mind somewhere .There are a lot of paintings of Ned Kelly ,i hope mine d justice to the man.
