This painting is one of a recent series inpired by the beautiful Bunurong coast line on the Bass Coast of Victoria. I spend a lot of time here, in awe of the rugged coastline, its ancient textured rocks and graphic strata cliffs. In contrast, there are many beautiful quiet beaches where there are many rock pools to explore, and within them, looking closely, you are rewarded with the most delicate marine ecologies arriving in the tides.
This particular painting captures natures energies - the solid, ancient rocks and geology, in harmony with the fragile and transient, living ecologies.
