This series of images were influenced by the work of Edward Weston mainly but also Guido Mocafico, drawing on the Nautilus shell of Weston and the colours of Mocafico's snake photos. The shells for the images were collected from the beach at Rockingham in WA while walking the dog between the rain-showers.
I was particularly interested in the weathering of them and the small details that revealed themselves in the process.
Each print is signed in the corner and titled in the middle.
