Framed in a light Ash solid timer frame “Whale of a time” is an expression of my love of the being near the ocean and living on the Gold Coast Qld for last 25 years. Watching the whales migrate north to give birth in Hervey Bay every June, then return a few months later to cooler waters with their calves. They breach, making a spectacular show for the many tourists who take a day trip on a Whale Watching cruise, play around in the bay making sure mother and baby calf are safe then make their way south to Antartica again,. This playful painting depicts the whale season in character form. Ideal for children’s study or bedroom or just to hang in the holiday beach house or office. Light bright and summery art.
