An oil painting of an old cottage in Braidwood, New South Wales, east of Canberra. The painting itself measures 53cm x 35cm, with a white surround mat 7.5 cm wide. The artwork is complemented with a narrow white frame 4.5cm wide.
It is a fresh spring morning and there are white blossom trees along the ancient fence which surrounds the old cottage. This Australian country scene was painted with a palette knife in soft pastel tones and influenced by Frederick McCubbin painting (Heidelberg School art movement).
