I created this work after a magical heron flew out of the mangroves in front of me at the lakeshore of Lake Weyba where I walk every day. This event made me think how all life is interconnected and I constructed a work which weaves the story of life forms around this beautiful natural area. I have used metallic inks here and there to reflect the amazing sheen on the bird's feathers at it flew to the sun and designed a palette of soft blues with hints of summer colour to inspire the viewer to dream their own narrative when viewing this soft and highly detailed work. It will enhance any room with a feeling of unity with the natural world and encourage meditation at the end of any hectic work day. You will be transported into a timeless feeling of peace and harmony
