This painting was made for a group exhibition, 'Amalgam' in 2018 in Melbourne. Pink Lemon, a Melbourne-based collective, organised the show. The work was created in response to a short story by writer Sam Eidelson.

The work is framed in a handmade dark stained teak frame. Measurements of frame are 63 x 63 x 7cm.

Jemma Cakebread is a Melbourne based artist currently working with oil painting and textiles. She drew on everything from books to walls as a kid and kept it up to adulthood, eventually completing further education in the arts against careers advice at highschool. She listens to true crime podcasts while she paints, dislikes going to her own exhibition openings and takes terrible care of her paintbrushes.
