This small abstracted work has so much detail, with the special feature of oil and cold wax being that it can be layered, and worked into, to build up an interesting surface. The very limited palette holds this abstract painting together, with the sweeps of white and blue against the harder neutral darks suggesting crashing waves along the rocks of the coast. It will look lovely framed behind a matt border, and framed as suggested in the in situ photos.
