Her work is represented in private and corporate collections worldwide and has been showcased in many galleries and museums. Jennifer has been recognized with numerous awards including a finalist for the 2023 Singulart Awards Painter of the Year. Jennifer draws inspiration from the endless possibilities that arise when colours and patterns come together. Through her work, she hopes to inspire others to find joy and wonder in the everyday and appreciate the beauty in the seemingly mundane.

Artist Bio

Jennifer Bell's artwork is an invitation into a world of colour, texture and pattern. Inspired by the rhythms and structures found throughout the natural world, she creates richly layered works that encourage viewers to slow down and discover new details over time. Working across painting, collage and textiles, her practice explores the connections between nature, perception and abstraction.

Living with the rare neurological condition Visual Snow has influenced the way Jennifer observes her surroundings, drawing her attention to movement, repetition and the layers of pattern that often go unnoticed. Through an intuitive process of painting, cutting, weaving and stitching, her work is inspired by the patterns and textures found in both the natural world and the spaces we inhabit.

Jennifer holds a degree in Fine Art and previously owned and operated a gallery in Wellington, New Zealand. Today, she works full-time from her Brisbane studio, with artworks held in private and corporate collections across Australia, New Zealand, North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Her practice ranges from small works to large scale commissions for homes, public spaces and interior projects, and her work has been selected for commercial projects internationally.
