Divination being the attempt to gain insight into a question or situation, in this case by the meditative repetition of a simple line. his pieces is a crazy patchwork of mark making inspired by boro and sashiko, the age old Japanese art of mending textiles with small stitches.

About the artist:
Jennifer Bell is a contemporary artist whose unique artistic vision is inspired by her rare neuro-ophthalmological condition. Her beautiful paintings and paper weavings capture her daily encounters with visual noise, employing bold hues, intricate details, and recurring abstract forms. With a degree in Fine Art and a wealth of experience in the art world, including gallery ownership, Jennifer has dedicated the past 14 years to being a full-time independent artist. Her work is represented in private and corporate collections worldwide and has been showcased in many galleries and museums. Jennifer has been recognized with numerous awards including a finalist for the 2023 Singulart Awards Painter of the Year. Jennifer draws inspiration from the endless possibilities that arise when colours and patterns come together. Through her work, she hopes to inspire others to find joy and wonder in the everyday and appreciate the beauty in the seemingly mundane.
