Painting roses is a serene experience for me. These soft pink roses in particular. I love the complex arrangements of the petals. Never the same. This painting was executed using a wet in wet technique which involves floating pigment over wet sections of paper. This adds a little adventure to the process with the results uncertain.
Painted on rough 300gsm French cotton rag paper. I use sable brushes collected over many years. There is a white border left for framing.
