The inspiration for ‘Spectrum of the Heart’ comes from the many women of all ages I come across as an artist, and within my own circle of family and friends. We can be so different and yet in our own ways all strive to be ourselves, to do better, to love and be loved.
On the outside, we may not always attract notice. Yet inside there are times when a person can feel alight with the excitement of a new idea, an opportunity, or perhaps a life-changing love.
Surely this is how we feel at such times; visibly transformed, alight with all the colours of the spectrum!
This piece of art will bring a feeling of warmth and joy to a room. The subject of the painting is looking somewhere else, gazing with heightened interest, leaving us as viewers free to view and speculate.
