Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
This portrait is based on a still of Peter O’Toole as the highly disturbed Nazi General Tanz from the 1967 film “The Night of the Generals”. Great movie with a very sinister and nuanced performance from O’Toole.
Most of this work was created using a range of differently shapes and sized palette knives, with the brush being minimally employed.
The sides are painted pink to match the ground colour.
Ready to hang with strong wire/d-rings on the back.
