This work involved from studying the human form at life drawing classes. i initially took a drawing I felt had good structural composition and drew onto the canvas. Then I began to paint skin tones. And painted lines indicating a bed sheet. I wanted to make the image quirky and fun‚ and added the pink stilettos. Then I played with texture and glued on some fabric‚ and played with the contrasting colours of red and green. At the time I had also been exploring pop art and stencil art and spray paint techniques and incorporated this onto the canvas.
