Finding calm in chaos, is a theme I am beginning to explore, reflecting on moments in nature that give the mind a sense of tranquillity when the world is overwhelming. 'While the streets sleep' is the third painting in this series.
I continue to reflect on and savour the small beautiful moments that occurred within the whirlwind, muddled last couple of years. Between adjusting to life with a baby and the realities of covid, a 6.30am walk in the outdoors can be enough to ease the mind and soul. Allowing myself to pause and watch the early morning sun beam between trees, reeds and wild flowers. Realising that peace and quiet can be found a step away from home when all but the birds and my baby are asleep.
