For this abstract I used as reference a tree I see on my regular walking trail, with layers of peeling bark and a massive jumble of branches and leaves. I've called this one the "Tree of Life", because if I were to paint what I imagine when I think of the word 'life', this is what I see. Lights and darks; hues and tones; shadows and hiding places; rough and smooth; stillness and movement; experiences, events and feelings branching off into different directions and intertwined; a colourful mess.
This work is unframed, but will look great in a frame as well, which you can purchase through Bluethumb.
I've tried my best to provide clear and accurate photos of this work, but please note that colour nuances may not be captured perfectly by digital media and vary from screen to screen.
