Oil on stretched canvas, ready to hang.
Signed on the back.
The "man in the chair" motif is a reoccurring subject for me. taking a classic portrait pose and scene and injecting non-reality into it.
This portrait comes from my subconscious mind and tells a story of anxiety, distortion, paranoia and panic.
The figure wears a mask or perhaps his facial features are distorted.
The arms shake into a blur of grey smoke
And his ribs jut out.
This is a piece close to my heart, a reflection on a former self.
