I saw this cloud when looking south-east from Blairgowrie back beach, shortly before sunset. There was a layer of hazy air above the horizon, but this cloud towered up through it to the clearer air above. The red of the setting sun was picked up by the main body of the cloud. The warm glow of the red light striking the cloud contrasts with the cooler tones of the surrounding air.
