Katherine Gorge was inspired by my trip to Katherine Gorge in the Norther Territory, Australia. It was a mid June and I took a cruise along up the Katherine River through the network of gorges. This is a view from the boat as we explored the rocky gorge that had been cut by the river over the previous centuries. I could not help capturing the moment and making it in to a permanent reminder of the scene. I love the light and the colours of the rocks in this Australian scene. This piece allows you to dream of travel and peaceful scenic river cruising.

Katherine Gorge is painted in Artist quality Winsor and Newton Oil Paint on a canvas, this painting is complete with wire ready to be hung, however it can also be framed.
