From my series of abstract mark making works, combining my skill in impressionism with bold brush strokes and strong colours, and my passion for flowers, all inspired by nature. An abstract focus on colour, and a joyful glimpse into an imaginary garden scene. I refer to the flowers as floating, I revisit this series from time to time, it gives me the opportunity to loosen up and be extremely expressive with the composition. The freedom to use bold and strong colours assists me with my repetitive mark making compositions, leading me into new territory in colour mixing and combinations.
