The yellow ginkgo leaves formed an elaborate carpet under the tree in autumn. I was inspired by the simple form of the leaves and collected a few to photograph. In my photographic work, I have created sense of the passage of time as the leaves fall. In my work, I use long exposures to evoke a painterly quality.

This image would work well in a room with earthy and neutral tones. The simplicity and graphic elements would suit a minimal and calm environment.
