I created this little painting for the 5 x 7 Art Prize, which the Hobson's Bay Arts Society participates in every year. All artworks have to be 5 x 7 inches in size, and either painted or glued to a canvas panel which is provided as part of the entry. This is always fun , but also challenging to paint on a small canvas, when you are used to working large. This painting is based on a photo I took of our local beach, which is only a 5 minute drive from where I live.
