Koalas are at threat of extinction as a result of habitat loss and the changing environment.
Anecdotally the future of the koala population is ‘hanging by a thread’ and was the inspiration for the creation of this artwork.
This work forms the first of a series of koala graphite drawings.
Archival quality framed in natural oak and Perspex.
This artwork is a current semifinalist in the 2020 Tony White Memorial Art Prize.
The two other works in this series are currently displayed in the Bluethumb gallery in Goodwood.
