How is this created?

To create these works, I first choose my colour palette and then spend many days / weeks painting a large stack of acid free art papers. For this I use acrylic paints - sometimes very thickly applied, sometimes in thin fluid washes - sometimes with a brush and sometimes with a palette knife. I create as much texture in these papers as I can and I love the way the paint behaves on paper.

Once I have a stack of gorgeous papers - these become my 'paints' and I begin tearing them into pieces and arranging them (and re-arranging) then on the canvas until I find shape combinations I like. Once I'm happy with a section I 'glue' it the canvas with pure acrylic medium (the base component of acrylic paint) and work around the canvas.

Once the canvas is finished I seal everything with multiple protective coats of clear acrylic and satin varnish.

I create original abstract collage artworks inspired by colour. First I spend weeks hand painting papers in acrylic in my chosen colour palette. Then begins the fun process of tearing them all to pieces and arranging them in a jigsaw like manner on a canvas or wood panel. All my works are created entirely by me using acrylic paints, acid-free paper, acrylic mediums as 'glue' and acrylic sealer to complete the works.

If you love green and /or pastel colours - you're in the right place! I have a huge crush on green in all it’s shades and this glorious colour tends to make it’s way into most of my work for it’s beauty and the positive, calming feelings it evokes. Some of my works have pops of bright colour, but I also create soft pastel and grey toned palettes for more calming pieces.

Whether you are after a large piece for above your couch, dining table or bed - or a small pop of art for a shelf - I have a range of sizes available.

When I'm not painting you will find me ubering my two boys (now 8 and 10) around to their 10th soccer game of the week, watering my far-too-big collection of plant babies or nagging my family to play board games with me.
