Inspired by the gorgeous evening light across Middle Harbour, this painting references the seemingly everlasting summer days of my childhood, when there were no worries or responsibilities and you could spend hours lying in the golden grass smelling the fragrance of flowers. Living through a surreal moment in time during a pandemic has had me longing for those carefree days .
