Artwork Description

I like to paint peaceful scenes when looking for calmness and serenity. This painting has a special glow. The sides are painted in the dark background colour.

Artist Bio

One of the great joys of maturity, is fulfilling a lifetime’s passion.
As a self taught artists, I’ve explored a variety of styles and mediums throughout my life. A previous career in the entertainment industry, sometimes shows in my work.

My first solo exhibition was held at the Sydney Dance Company in the early 1990s and another at the Mark Julian Gallery, in Glebe.
I also exhibited quite a number of works in the prestigious Advertising Art Auctions where funds were raised in support of The Sydney Children’s Hospital.
Recent Exhibitions have been in a number of local Sydney galleries and there are some more in the months to come.

Always challenging myself, I like to paint portraits, figuratives, the sea, the land, still life and the occassional abstract piece.
My process is a natural impulse to paint, preferring not to measure, trace or use a grid. I like to play with the light and reflections, whilst keeping a modern and simplistic feel.
These days I paint with acrylics on stretched canvas and am influenced by the impressionists, realists and modern day photographers.

A catalogue of 20 of my works has recently been created by the Beka Museum in New York and featured in Art New York Magazine and others have also been featured in Australian Magazines.

A large portfolio is always available and many of my works have been sold to various Australia collectors.

My first art exhibition "Upstage" (26 large works) was held at the Sydney Dance Company in the early 1990s and another at the Mark Julian Gallery, in Glebe.
In 2021 I exhibited 6 works in a group exhibition called "Harvest" at the M2Gallery in Surry Hills, Sydney.
In 2023 8 works in "A Shared Table Exhibition" at the Ambush Gallery , Sydney.
In 2024 9 works in "A Shared Table Exhibition" at the Ambush Gallery , Sydney.
In 2025 3 Works in the "Small Works Art Prize" at Brunswick Street Gallery, Melbourne.
In 2025 4 Works in the "LGBTQ" Exhibition at the TAP Gallery, Sydney
In 2025 2 Works in the "International Women's Day Exhibition", TAP Gallery, Sydney
In 2025 Finalist in the "SOHO Art Prize," Woollahara, Sydney
