The beauty of painting or practising any type of art form, is that it takes you away.
Away from all the negative emotions that life presents.
The tip is to enjoy it. Enjoy it enough to take you into another zone. A place where you feel comfortable.
A place where you experience peace while finding pleasure in the moment.
I've been painting and drawing on and off, in a variety of styles and mediums throughout my life.
My available collection of works is around 150 paintings.
In 2020, I was contacted by InNoosa Magazine and was thrilled to see one of my paintings featured all over the cover plus a double page spread inside their 2021 Summer issue. Since then I have also been approached by Home Design Magazine and was delighted to have a slot in there too.
Throughout my life I have sold, gifted and donated my works and have lost count of how many walls they are hanging on. This warms my heart.
My early careers were in the entertainment industry as a dancer, actress, voice-over artist and teacher of performing arts. I also spent many years in the legal field and in advertising as a financial controller.
The advertising industry led me into becoming a graphic designer and I have been doing this ever since. However these days I lean more and more to painting and drawing.
My first art exhibition (26 large works) was held at the Sydney Dance Company in the early 1990s and another at the Mark Julian Gallery, in Glebe.
In 2021 I exhibited 6 works in a group exhibition called Harvest at the M2Gallery in Surry Hills, Sydney.
In 2023 another 8 works at the Ambush Gallery , Sydney.
As a self taught artist, always challenging myself, I like to paint the land, the sea, the body, portraits and still life.
Every time I sell, gift or donate a painting, a part of me goes with it.
I am always open to commissions and love doing portraits.
Thank you for taking the time, to look into my profile.
