This work was inspired by the recent bushfires across Australia during the summer of 2019-2020. It takes a familiar still life scene and adds a new element- fire- to suggest the shock of the destruction of every day life.. There is a suggestion of hope and regeneration with the use of banksias, which rely on fire for reproduction, and the limited palette recalls the colours of the preceding drought..
Framed size is 38 cm square..
Retail price for this size is now $550 however I have left this one at an older price
