This piece was influenced by observing the natural affiliation between king parrots and eucalyptis ficifolia- the colours are so similar that the birds are almost camouflaged.. Painted with archival quality oil paints on primed linen- a larger piece than my usual, painted with brush and palette knife.. Recently revised with a lighter background and extra leaves gives a more dynamic composition
