This is a Resin piece. The sand, shells and driftwood etc were collected from a little beach not far from where we live in Darwin. As in all my resin beach sand pieces I like to use the sand and shells pertaining to the that beach or area. This piece depicts a high tide washing up amongst the sand, shells and driftwood. In fact it is where my little granddaughters took me to collect shells a little out of the way and forgotten beach. Also under the dark waves are little cut crystals giving the piece a great sparkling look. The piece has five layers of resin. It would suite a nice sunny spot to bring out the crystal sparkles a beach house would be great.

Artist Bio
I’m a full time professional Australian Landscape and Resin Artist and also a traveller. My paintings have sold both Nationally and Internationally.
Painting from some of China's great mountain tops to The Blue Mountains, The Red Centre, Kakadu escarpments and Norfolk Island are just some of the areas where I have painted and gained inspiration for my paintings. Under the tutelage of John Wilson one of Australian's Leading Landscape Artist since 2006 I have developed into an established artist. Most years I spend two weeks in the Blue Mountains painting in such places as Capertee Valley, Megalong Valley, Hartley, Wentworth Falls, Three Sisters, Inspiration Point and also gathering material for future paintings.
Major commissions undertaken are held in the Collections of some of Darwin's leading property developers.
I am also an avid photographer having over 45,000 photos in my reference library for future paintings.
I have recently been exploring a completely new style of painting something which is very much removed from my very structured style of landscape painting. These pieces are completely unique, one offs and purely from my imagination and by my design.
Introducing Resin 😱
Popular styles and colours at the moment are blue and ocean/beaches. In my beach pieces I use sand collected from beaches from around AUSTRALIA. A very challenging medium to say the least🤣🤣🤣
My underwater Resin pieces showcasing various fish, coral , octopus, dolphin etc. These resin pieces took approximately three months to complete and what a pleasure they were.
Authenticity Certificates are attached to all paintings.
If you are visiting Darwin you are quite welcome to visit my studio again all sales will be through Bluethumb.
My large paintings will be professionally packed for transit.
Below is a lovely note from a happy customer below
“Dear Kit,
Thank you for your hand written message – you made our day. What a magnificent original piece is ‘forgotten faces’ – my husband and I absolutely love it and will treasure it always. We can appreciate how much effort has gone into this beautiful piece – thank you!! It is the highlight of our week in lockdown. We think we have located a couple of hidden faces – but will continue to study. We love the texture and depth you have created with the mixed media – and the colours are so uplifting and inspiring. We love all your work – it was hard to decide which piece – I hope our paths cross again as we grow our art collection.
Take care,
Best wishes”
