Forgotten Faces

Forgotten Faces is a whimsical resin pieces. From the very start of the piece it took on a life of its own and developed over several weeks. It turned out nothing like I had planned. The blue, white and pink areas were the first part that was poured and allowed to set over a couple of days.

Now as all my paintings I will bring it out of the studio throughout the painting process and stand it where I can study it for several hours.

Well if you look closely at the blue area you will able to see animal faces probably only a few come out in the photos. In person there a lots of little cats that you can make out. It was my intention to pour over a lot of the blue but couldn’t do it to the little faces, thus I put the flowers, balloons and butterflies in as a tribute to the “Forgotten Faces”

I sincerely hope that this goes to a very special person.

Please note the butterflies and flowers I did not paint they are paper cut outs that sit under the Resin as do the little crystals. I just thought it suited the piece.
