I enjoyed painting this smaller sized wintery forest scene. This painting shows a curious abstract owl peeking out from behind a tree in a snowy forest. It has a lot of character and a quirky appeal, and is a special little painting.

I have painted the forest and owl with acrylics and inks on artists quality watercolour paper. I have then glued the paper onto the stretched canvas.
I have painted the canvas surround with metallic silver and black so it gives a lovely framed effect.
It is also black on the side edges, so looks tidy and finished- and is completely ready to hang up, as soon as it arrives
