This painting has great significance for me. Treading water has two different meanings for me. The panic and frantic treading water with fear of no rescue, as I have been for the last 14 months since my diagnosis of Breast Cancer, and the beautiful calm, enjoying the weightlessness of the water and letting it envelope you in it's embrace. Enjoying the sheer joy and beauty of the world. That's where I am now.
The sides are painted to match the main artwork.
