Big dreams by Lana Alsamir-Diamond is a part of a continuous interest in themes of closeness, a minimalist abstract. I love painting these large artworks, and love their quiet presence in a space, although they are visually bold.
Moons are a constant in my work, if you have ever watched the moon as religiously as I do, you would know that the moon has so many faces, my fascination started when I used it as a constant presence in my more figurative works, and I slowly became fascinated by the shape and the possibilities it offered to my work, it grew from a representation of the moon to a recurring motif, that is interpreted in many ways, I use the motif to explore closeness, relationships and energy.
Original artwork, Acrylic on stretched canvas, ready to hang.
