My love and appreciation for Giorgio Morandi's paintings are expressed through a series of composition studies and still-life paintings. Using his method of first re-inventing Nature by creatively repainting the chosen objects in subtle color tones, I then painted the impressions of the objects onto canvas exploring light and mood changes through various hours of the day.
