This painting forms part of my series on Greek Mythology. It shows Pandora, after inadvertently releasing many evils into the world, is left with hope.
In Greek mythology Pandora opened a jar left in her care and accidentally released sickness, greed, hate and many other evils into the world. Though she hastened to close the container, only one thing was left behind: hope.
