I wish I could bottle every memory of my children’s childhood, it goes so fast. Spending moments with people suffering from dementia makes you realised just how fragile those memories can be.
Themes of love and family are explored in this work, which tells the story of the love of a parent for their children, trying to hold on to the memories of their childhood and experiences they shared together.
Guided by my conversations and interaction with patients and families living with dementia, I have created a body of work that representing the essence of the time I spent with each individual. The work reflects the beautiful and confronting nature of the moments that I was privileged to share.
