Artwork Description

A mixed media painting of Asclepius’ Serpent, Ancient Greece. Created by Sydney spiritual artist Leni Kae. Intuitively designed, inspired by meditation and Leni Kae’s Greek-Cypriot Ancestry.

“The serpent of Asclepius is an intensely spiritual symbol linked to Divine healing. This healing is not just physical. It relates to healing on a spiritual and emotional level those hurt that manifest to physical ailments. Through this inner healing, the suppressed inner spirit of joy is able to awaken.” – Leni Kae (c)

This artwork is from Leni Kae’s new series “Awakenings” and contains a special feature. Expose the painting to UV Light to discover a hidden glow.. This feature both symbolises and highlights an element of conscious enlightenment.

Leni Kae’s ‘Awakenings’ series is inspired by an intuitive connection to the artist’s Greek ancestral landscape. Leni explores conscious and subconscious connection to the stories and energies of cultural legends, mythology, ritual and religion; and the role they played in spiritual enlightenment. ‘Awakenings’ invites viewers to re-examine how they think about ancestral historical spirituality, and in the process, surrender to a process of self-discovery.
