I am a visual artist currently based in Newtown, Sydney. I've drawn and painted for as long as I've been able to hold a pencil or smear a jam donut. Art to me isn't really a choice. It's something I can't not do. Much of my work has been studio-based oil painting. I have also travelled widely and created works throughout the world wherever there's a blank surface in an open and beautiful space. I have made murals on walls overlooking the Annapurna Ranges in Northern India, enamel paintings on reconfigured driveways in Laos, bold watercolours in the Sahara Desert.

More recently, I have been exploring textiles, including the combination of traditional painting on linen with machine embroidery, batik and applique techniques. My subject matter is whatever is near me visually and conceptually.

I intend to continue making images and art until I am no longer capable.

Graphically, I love the linear work in hardware catalogues, children's colouring books and by Robert Crumb.
Paint-wise, I have been influenced by a range of masters, including DeKooning, Redon, Van Gogh, Tomescu, Hodgkin, Bacon and Streeton.
