Magpies are usually friendly and sociable and we have a pair that visit us every day in our garden. They are highly intelligent and very entertaining to watch and we're enjoying listening to their songs in the morning.

In Eastern cultures, the magpie symbolizes good fortune, good tidings and happiness. They also symbolize bridges and the fantasy world.

Inspired by the two magpies I painted this blissful magpie enjoying time in a garden full of daisies with its ladybird friends.
