Sydney Harbour is one of the most beautiful harbours in the world and we are so lucky to be able to enjoy it. Can only imagine the thousands of people who come to enjoy this iconic place each year leaving with wonderful memories. This painting is based on a photo I took from Sydney Zoo many years ago, although the skyline has changed since then. Sydney Harbour is an aquatic playground for Sydney locals with more than 240 kilometres of shoreline claiming unspoiled beaches, picturesque gardens and natural bush. It is also home to some of Australia's big-name attractions, including the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Painted in my detailed style with a touch of nostalgia I really enjoyed bringing it to life. Painted on a long canvas 121 cm x 40 cm high this will be a talking point on any wall and remind you of how wonderful Sydney Harbour is.

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
Painting a diverse range of art from my Blue Mountains Studio and Gallery, I draw inspiration from the stunning surroundings and its abundance of flora and fauna. My aim is to inspire and bring joy to others, taking the ordinary and enhancing detail, light and form.
My animals are expressive and quirky at times and my landscapes evoke a sense of tranquility with delicate, layered brushwork, they lend a sense of vitality and depth.
Beginning my art journey in 2008, I experimented with watercolors that became a channel for expressing my emotions, leaning towards light in the darkness. I soon became a prolific painter using different mediums and creating a variety of art to suit a wide audience. Over time the dream of owning my own home gallery became a reality in 2012 and I'm still enjoying selling to many art lovers.
I participate actively in a wide range of group exhibitions, and hold solo shows when time allows. I'm honored to have gained a number of awards over the years, winning the prestigious Rose Lindsay Art Prize at Blue Mountains ArtFest and took First Prize at BMCAN's NSW Parliament House Exhibition for 'Winter in the Blue Mountains'. I'm delighted that many of my paintings continue to be held in private and public collections worldwide, along with commissioned art products.
Thank you very much for taking the time to view my art.
Best wishes
Linda
