For Linda, art is a never ending journey of discovery. Over the years she has experimented with different genres. She is guided by the shapes and marks that form with a brush laden with thick, buttery paint. Finding the balance, the shadows, and the light. Having painted landscapes and still life, she is now loving the freedom of abstract.
Inspired by nature, you will always find the landscape in her abstracts. She paints the drama and movement and then places of quiet and calm within the painting.
In the studio she begins a painting with a feeling, an idea and a colour palette. She paints what she feels within not what she sees without. Mindfulness and meditation play a large part in the paintings. Sometimes there is reflection, a lightness and other times there is drama and shadow.
