The other day I got a text message from my Husband who was out working near Goulburn in NSW saying, 'I wish you were here. Just had 18 yellow tailed black cockatoos fly 10 meters above my head while I was working. Then about 100 meters away, 26 of them flew past'.

I have never been lucky enough to see that many, but that same afternoon I did see 4 at the end of my street where I have never seen them before. They were happily tearing a bottlebrush to pieces, there was flowers strewn all over the footpath.

Such a beautiful majestic bird.
