Artwork Description

VASE COLLECTION NO.3 - Retro 70's Nostalgia. Such a fun, bright and bold piece which features some of the patterns and homeware styles of the seventies. It evokes a sense of nostalgia for a time gone by. I still remember my Mother's candles in old wine bottles and the big, bold orange, yellow and red patterns that she loved back then.

61cm x 61cm in size this artwork wraps around every side of the painting. It is ready to hang. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and is signed, titled and year dated on the back of the canvas.

Artist Bio

Australian Artist Lisa Frances Judd creates from her Blue Mountains Art Studio, west of Sydney. Lisa's paintings are brimming with beautiful colour palettes and layers of patterns, textures and abstracted shapes. Her artworks have been and continue to be collected by Australian and International Collectors.
.
With each painting she aims to take the viewer beyond the everyday to a happier place and evoke uplifted feelings. Her paintings are diverse and she prefers to create a series of related pieces then move on to a new series with a fresh approach.
.
Lisa is happy to work with Collectors who would like a Commissioned piece. You can contact her through Bluethumb to discuss your requirements.
.
While her art is joyful the beginnings of her art career were inspired by her only Son's stage 4 Brain Cancer journey which started in 2011. Lisa turned to her art during this terrible time to combat the grief and pain she felt and this literally changed the direction of her life. Her Son James is still with us in 2026, however in June 2024 his Cancer returned and once again he is in a battle for his life. Lisa is currently balancing supporting her son in Brisbane with continuing her artistic career.
.
Lisa has participated in many group exhibitions and held numerous solo art exhibitions. Her very first Solo Exhibition at The Pine Street Gallery, Chippendale, Sydney was featured in The Sydney Morning Herald's Spectrum Section in 2013. That same year she was included in the ‘Undiscovered’ feature of Art Collector Magazine & Art Edit. In 2018 Lisa was selected as a Featured Acrylic Artist on Empty Easel.com. In 2019 her work was selected for an International Showcase via Artsy Shark and in 2020 again she was selected for a permanent Featured Artist Article (by Artsy Shark).

Thank you for taking the time to read a little about Lisa and her art practice.
