When a storm was rolling in down off Cronulla beach, I snapped a pic of the ocean and clouds. A woman passing by walked into my photo (I obviously wasn't paying much attention to anything else to not notice her coming!). The result was even more interesting as she too was looking off-shore and I immediately knew that I wanted to paint that scene.

I love the fact that the girl is wearing headphones, replacing the turbulent sound of the waves and brewing storm and I can't help but wonder what she's listening to while keeping one eye on the weather.

This painting is 12.7 x 17.8cm (5x7"), acrylic on canvas. It will be signed on the front and will arrive ready to hang (with a wire across the back) but it can also stand easily against a wall on a shelf or bench. It would make a great addition to a gallery wall with a palette that will comfortably sit with any collection.
