I have seen a few Bilbys at sunset when they emerge from their burrows to search for food.
Bilbies are a nocturnal marsupial , emerging after dark to forage for food. Using their long snouts, they dig out bulbs, tubers, spiders, termites, witchetty grubs and fungi. They use their tongues to lick up grass seeds.
This painting is all about that.
