This painting is about the beginning of the world through a Judeao-Christian perspective. Both biblical texts open with “In the beginning...” “The word becomes flesh” and all form is light. Although “God made mankind in his own image”‚ I have symbolised human frailty through missing digits and semi-abstract shapes. The panels move from Genesis and the creation of the world to the coming of John and the birth of Jesus: signifying renewal and rebirth for mankind. All forms are connected in some way to God; the universal source: omnipresent in spheres of hope.
