Traveling down the Nile River in Egypt was an inspirational journey. The Blue Nile Water Lily was the perfect way to combine my passion for floral watercolours and the nod to the art work that depicted the tombs in Ancient Egypt. Looking at the walls of Queen Nefatari's tomb, highlighted the intense colours of the Blue Lily and the iconic symbol the river of life was to the ancient Egyptians.
