The Macdonnell Ranges are the main source of water for the Finke River which is the oldest river in the world. It rarely flows - usually it consists of a few waterholes and is often completely dry. This is truly a sunburned country. This is my rendition of the land around the Finke, with the Ranges stretching vast across the horizon.
