'Sheep in a landscape' has been a recurring theme in my art production. The inspiration for this painting came from a visit to New Zealand on a recent trip. Dusk was settling into the landscape, and a sheep dog was hearding the flock to their new meadow. I was lucky enough to get some decent photographic reference. Back in my studio on Tamborine Mountain, I made several preparatory sketches of the scene, before finalising the composition.
